The Chevy Blazer’s Are Going Quick!
One of the hottest vehicles on the market right now is the Chevy Blazer, a mid-size sporty SUV. In the third model year of the current generation, the 2021 Blazer is in very high demand. Right now, inventory at dealerships across the country is running at 28 days. This is a big deal because optional supply for a vehicle in the U.S. auto industry is widely considered to be around 60 days, so it’s clear the demand for the Blazer is skyrocketing while supply is running out. Interested buyers should hurry to a dealer to find one before stock runs out.
Why is demand so high?
Of all General Motors vehicles, the Chevy Blazer recorded the greatest growth in U.S. sales in the 2020 calendar year by far. Why is this happening? Put simply, the Chevy Blazer is a great vehicle for what many customers are looking for. It’s sporty and provides a premium experience while offering ample room and a comfortable ride for a great price.
Of course, supply for most things has been affected by the COVID-10 pandemic because it brought General Motors production to a standstill for two months. However with production relatively back to normal, the supply of Chevy Blazers is still struggling to keep up with its high demand.
The Blazer’s Rising Demand
In the 2020 calendar year, sales of the Blazer jumped a whopping sixty-three percent, bringing the total units sold to 94,599. With these numbers, the Blazer was the seventh best-selling Chevrolet model during the timeframe.
Although it’s true the supply is struggling to keep up with demand for the Blazer, it’s also true that the increase in demand probably would have been even greater if not for the pandemic. This is based on projections from the fact that Blazer sales increased by 183 percent during the first half of 2020, which is largely from the time period before the pandemic outbreak. This suggests that the decreasing availability of the Blazer was not artificially caused by low production and supply from General Motors but rather by an ever increasing demand for the Blazer.
2021 Chevrolet Blazer
A two-row midsize crossover SUV, the new Chevy Blazer received special safety updates for the 2021 model year. The Chevy Safety Assist package will be added to the Chevy Blazer interior on the 2LT, 3LT, RS, and Premier trim levels. On the front-wheel drive models with a V-6 engine, an optional trailering package will be added, and four new exterior paint colors will be available for the vehicle: Pewter Metallic, Iron Gray Metallic, Cayenne Orange Metallic, and Cherry Red Tintcoat. Looking for a flexible and quick family-oriented vehicle? The Blazer is perfect for you.
