There are several changes for the 2020 Equinox model year. These changes include different exterior changes, interior changes, different package options, additional safety features, and more. Let’s find out more below.
One change for the Equinox mechanically is that this vehicle will not longer offer the 1.6-liter turbodiesel engine. This also means that the two trim options that offered this engine are no longer available. However, this vehicle still has two capable gasoline engine options, which include a 1.5-liter, 170-horsepower turbocharged engine, and a 2.0-liter, 252-horsepower turbocharged engine.
There are also some exterior changes to this vehicle, including the addition of new exterior colors like Chocolate Metallic, Cayenne Orange Metallic, and Midnight Blue Metallic.
Another big improvement for the 2020 Equinox is that these models now have new standard driver assistance features. Now, every 2020 Equinox model will have standard safety features, including forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, a following distance indicator, forward automatic braking, and IntelliBeam headlamps. This means that you won’t have to pay additional money to get these great features.
There are also changes to the packages offered with the 2020 Chevy Equinox. This vehicle has two new package options for 2020. These packages are the Midnight Edition and the Sport Edition. Both of these packages are the same, but they have different availability. These packages offer you features like 19-inch black aluminum wheels, jet black leather seating, dark finish fog lamp bezel surround, black grille and mesh, black bow ties, and more. The addition of these packages also means that a few packages were deleted. The deleted packages for 2020 include the Sun & Navigation package; the Sun, Sound & Navigation package; the LT Appearance package, Lights and Bright Package, Style & Go package, and the Driver Confidence Plus package.
